Don't have that any more, and it's probably a bad idea now, with sensitive electronics on board.

Well, if you insist. There will be some non-Buell company though, so we can't get too carried away.

WTF - The Uriti valley before Mt Messenger is the best bit!

The coast road from Awakino to Marakopa is a little rough, with heavy pit metal in places - not a lot of fun on a sports bike.

Youre welcome, if it's damp, just watch out for the odd slimey bit where it's always in the shade. As for the non Buell crowd, there are some nice spots to stop and let them catch up.

Ten minutes North of Te Kuiti, Right on the corner of the Waitomo turn-off is an Ostrich farm B+B. Nice place and the owner is a biker so I'm sure he'd stick your bike somewhere safe and warm.
Plus 1 for the B&B the friendly ostrich is cool as!Click image for larger version.

    Hi,

    You'll enjoy the ride - I've stayed at http://www.jasons.co.nz/te-kuiti/motel-te-kuiti?adult=2

And it was fine, at a reasonable price - I had baulked at the price of the newer motel near the Shell Station

Motelliers enjoy cash, so I said " would you like some cash?" And got a free breakfast in appreciation.

Thank you gentlemen, that's half the logistics taken care of.

Anyone got an inside line on the weather?
