Dayana Mieses, the wife of Edwin Mieses, said her husband got off his bike to help a biker who was hit in the initial collision.

“When all the bikers stopped, my husband got out, parked his bike to walk over to try to help his friend. He walked over towards the front of the vehicle when, at this point, I don’t know what happened the man was scared, the man just peeled off and ran over my husband,” she told WBZ-TV.

Mieses said her husband has injuries to his heart, lungs and ribs and that he is paralyzed from the waist down. The couple has two children, ages 15 and 9.

So, if this is the case, the dudes who then chased the SUV wouldn't have had any idea at the time of the extent of the riders injuries, but does this exonerate them?

I mean shit, they cut his tires and dented his SUV, and he ruins a guys life.

However what that article does now back up is that the initial collision was to the bike that brake checked a 2.5t 4x4 that could have possibly had bikes right on its tailgate. Sure it's terrible to see someone severely hurt but the behaviour shown in the multiple videos posted of that ride, I'm honestly surprised that fewer riders/pedestrians/road users were not hurt. Play with fire expect to get burnt. Hopefully these guys will learn that intimidating other road users, blocking intersections with no legal right, running red lights and riding on footpaths will end in tears. Like many have said, lucky this ride didn't occur in Texas or Florida, someone would've been eating lead.

Also, of course he is going to play the innocent victim, but he may well have been calling the guys bluff by standing in front so his mates could smash it.
