decided to start it up again.
Last time it had an oil leak around the cam shaft rubber on the head... hammer fixed that. leaked fuel.
No idea what fixed that but no leak and no oil leak.

Mint but the heap only fired on three cylinders, how dare it!

Prior to the second big start (need to steal battery from Kat) I did a compression test.

All the cylinders are 140psi. All of them....very pleased.
That looks like the dude I got the bike off was correct, new rings. Mint.

Bike only ran on three cylinders. Did not check anything but I think it will be fuel.
Could be the reason for no leak.

Point taken, and a good point also.
Thanks I appreciate the comment, you are dead right.

In my defence I have looked for parts for like a couple of months, there it is and DAM its expensive. You hit buy now.... and there are two for sale at half the price the following week.
    Always, always...

And dam I hate getting ripped.

    Got to love Suzuki's.

They fix themselves. What more do you want in life?

Last time, which was also the first time I stated this it leaked oil from the cam bung and fuel from the carbs.
    But it ran fine.

Next run, three cylinders. Today I hit the button and away it went.
Idling beautiful after a warm up and a few revs.

Still a couple of drops of oil on the ground but struggling to find the leak.
No fuel leak, like some fuel has sealed the orings etc.

Took the GSX1100EZ for a spin yesterday, dam nice bike to ride.
I have to say it was so easy to ride. I felt like I could ride it all day.

Handling could be better but I was impressed until I hit 5000 RPM and that's where the power stopped dead.

The bike has good pull off the mark and seemed ok until I hot 5k.

At home I gave the bike a good throttle and man the timing chain is rattily, I am wondering if this will root the timing and cause an issue like this?

did you check the operation of the tensioner, i run my gs's and back the knob off and it's noticably louder obviously when backed off, these often seize on so if so pull it out and give it the once over

    Obviously not.

Did no of the above, the fuel tap leaked and is impossible to move from being painted.... new one on order.
    Carb kits on there way.
Check why the vacuum was blocked off on carb?
Carbs in to ultrasonic thing, strip and clean.
check valve clearances and chain tension
new exhaust gaskets and head gaskets.

    Then try...

    If this does not work..

    Ignition upgrade and then sell.!
