the AMA introduced a production rule after 1986, so the frames, swing arms, cases and barrells had to come off the production lines, barrells could be ported etc, and frames braced and strengthened, but no changes in geometry were allowed, with out pictures it would be hard to tell,

87 team kawasaki riders were Jeff Ward and Ron Lichien, 1990 was Jeff Ward, Jeff Matasavich,

well not all as good as had hoped they are both in bits frames are definitely works frames as with the wheels front and rear shocks etc the tripple clamps where standard as with the motors apart from a lot of the outer casing which you can tell as they are super light. He dose have an 88 as well that is a full works bike but is looking at $4000 for that on also a CZ250 enduro complete and a 1990 CR500 for 1200. little bit of a shame will keep looking they pop up every now and then here from what ive seen.

As a foot note if anyone wants any works parts this guy has a couple of sheds full of old bikes (mainly Kawasaki) and a pile of spare parts of which there is a good mix of works parts in there bought them all of some guy up in Boston about 15 years ago you had worked with Team Kawasaki.

Shame! But if he has by chance a right hand radiator shroud, clutch cover and water pump cover for an 83 SR500 I'll pay him plenty for them!

Yeah seen that cheers mate. But unfortunately mine is the old style one piece type, unlike the 250 engine I have which is like that one.
