Motorcycle Doctors: Awesome service, and so cheap!

Just thought I'd share my recent experience as I was really impressed!

Got quoted ~1.4k for some work to be done on my bike by the local Kawasaki dealer (48k service, full service including valves etc). Rang around a few places in Hamilton and got quotes ranging from 800 - 1000.

Contacted three places in Auckland, got quotes ranging from 400 - 600. Decided to go with Motorcycle Doctors, the mobile motorcycle mechanics. Rode up this morning from Hamilton, spent the day at a friends house while George from MD did all the work in the driveway/carpark with his mobile workshop van. He ended charging me about 200 less than his original quote because of some stuff he found that didn't really need doing.
Best service I have ever had in the automotive industry.
A++ would trade again.

Yeah, Ive put several workmates on to him. He needs to employ one or two people, maybe with one of them servicing Hamilton. I'm sure hed have enough customers.

Its True. Ive taken my bike to just about every workshop in Auckland now and George is the best. Theres another thread around dedicated to this topic. Its worth another nudge.

The problem is - price is only one part of the MD experience, for me the biggest plus with George is the attitude/pride in workmanship - if there were other guys out there with the same we'd be raving about them on KB too.

Mate you realise you are on KB? Pretty sure there is a rule against complimenting a motorcycle service person

No it's all good now. Whenever someone comes on and says something good about someone, four others will jump up with an opposing view. Being complimentary opens that door to negative views so is allowed.
