Would look better if it were kept original.

I don't always care for 'original' but an attempt at 'period' would suit my bent (and the owner can have any interpretation he wants, its his bike).

But if I'm going to offer my opinion - & this is KB & a friday afternoon!

Modern wheels ok. Maybe something a little more 'Morris' straight spoke looking.
USDs, meh, lose them & fit cartridged RWUs, say Thunderace
AP brakes (or even ThAce) & non wavy discs
    Non Ti exh
What the F is up with those crap looking shocks? Did they cheap out at the poor end of Hagon's range?

    Lose the nasty anodised throttle.
Maybe a shallow brace on the SW, nothing too gawdy.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

Don't like the pipes. Looks like a tomcat with the belly he gets when his nuts have been chopped off.

I see that build is a Z1A - you can do what you like with those, no one cares...

I was visited by a group going to the Burt the other day. All from round Towelronga i think.
One was riding a Z1 just bought off Croz - bog standard restoration. Still running in I think.
It was going to need points and cam chain adjustments by the time they got to Invercargill...

I was not game to ask what it cost....

Pick the right ones and I can't see them becoming any cheaper.

Once you bastardise a model it's value basically stops there.

    define Value
    Monetary or memory??????

i'd have an old Z900 in standard form for the days the backs ok and it's not raining and my piles aren't on the hurt

and a Z900 croz modified for those other days so there's merit in both camps.

A vast improvement on the original. I very much like the oldies fettled with modern running gear.

So true Spyda, I like the look of this thing. Gotta be better than it was in what, 1972 ?
Most of those old girls feel like crap to ride nowdays, lets be honest !
I have a mate who rebuilt an old H2 ,spent a fortune on it ! First ride out was his last,he said it felt very average.
Mind you I'd like one in the shed to look at.

You'd never go hungry with Nigella Gaz.
If it weren't for flashbacks...I'd have no memory at all..

Ok use zxr9 bits then. Front end just looks different to rest of bike. Again it's the owners choice, not mine.
