Sorry, not for me. I have had to withdraw due to work commitments. Pampa is still going south tho.

There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.
Damn, that is a shame.
I tend to leave these things to the last minute so I have not booked any ferry yet (usually do it the night before). So I could head over anytime.
I am leaving Auckland on the 23rd and plan to motocamp my way south, I had initially planned to cross over on the 25/26th (middle of day sailing), and camp near Blenheim and head into the Molesworth the next day. But I can adjust to match your plans. (I am not quite keen enough to head into the Molesworth alone).
I had a thought about a simpler route to do.
Thursday Am hit the moleswoth with a trip up Altimarlok. Down into hammer for fuel then up into the rainbow to Mailing pass for the night (camping). This I assume(recall) is the free end of the rainbow and would avoid any toll gates?
Friday down into Fairlie via Lees valley.

Hey Chris what ferry crossing are you on? I'm on the first bluebridge Crossing which arrives at midday. If the timing is right I'll join you for the ride down
