160kmh, no helmet, no licence, no gear. Are you kidding me?

A man who was clocked riding a motorcycle at 160kmh without a helmet before crashing near Havelock was asking for a tragic outcome, police say.

This sort of shit does not help us as a collective win the public over to support our cause of being responsible riders

Injuries described as serious grazes - they're very lucky if that's all they got away with. I think I'll stick with wearing appropriate gear, on my regisitered and warrented bike, with my license firmly in pocket.

Russian roulette really. Sometimes youse gets aways with it; it depends how you like to play the odds.

As for public perception, I'd like to think that the general public will view him as the exception to most riders.

160K, that's at least 60k over the limit! Over 1 and a half times the limit! they should be dead! At least that's what the TV and Government have been telling me. You mean they have lied to me? Noooooooooooo it can't be true. The would never lie. and what's more they didn't even pay there fees, they should be denied treatment under ACC

Ok had my fun. Possibly better they survived to suffer from their stupidity but that depends on if they learn from it or go on to screw up someone else's life

I must have missed that meeting. Are 'we' trying to get the public to support our cause?
