    Goodbye lil FXR

Yeah, crashed the bike just out of whitianga yesterday some guy in his ute decided he didnt have to give way and pulled across in front of me when i was about 20 metres away... needless to say i couldnt stop in time and ended up smacking into the front of it, and then flew about 10 metres down the road...
Luckily all i got out of it is a sore leg, friction burn on my forehead, and a broken finger.
All i remember is waking up in the back of the ambulance. I havnt seen my bike yet, but id imagine itd be well and truly farked, seeing as the police mentioned that the guy driving the ute couldnt stop complaining out the massive damage done to his vehicle

What a way to end my bike cruise around the north island.

Shit man glad to hear you're okay.
Is he claiming that you were speeding or anything? If so just point out that it's an FXR

Haha the cops already pointed that out. Doesnt matter what speed i was doing he still didnt give way and the cops are fining him for it too, as well as reckless driving causing injury. small consolation eh.

Anyhows ive just gotta find someone to help me go collect it from where i crashed and bring it back to napier.

Crikey that ain't no good to hear ... glad that you are relatively okay! Bugger ... that will put a crimp in the good riding season plans I know its hard to do, but even I try not to pootle out to where all the mayhem holidaying mischief making cagers are!

Hope the facts all come out on your side and that some sort of resolution is speedily worked out in your favour!
