    The smoke has a kero aroma. I think it's a mix of some sort.

    The first vid seems to have been deleted so I haven't seen it. If the old 'Yak' in the second vid is the same plane ( Yak-3 ?) it'll be a big piston V12 or radial running at low revs and low compression on 'petrol' or Avgas . Bit hard to catch much detail.

    If it's the smoke that smells like Kero , you might be right, I love it too :-)

    mineral oil, Like baby oil Paraffin or mixtures that mainly are close to, or are Kerosene and diesel. (I googled it last night)
