I like the the drop down sun screen. I have had the XTR helmet which is a similar price for 5 months and still can't get a tinted visor for it.

I think that is what sold me, the drop down visor... I like the colour too, the yellow really stands out. I saw a guy on ADV with the 'Fly' helmet, this one is way better...

Just ordered a rebuild kit for the KTM starter off these guys: http://www.motorcityreman.com/atv---...cle-units.html looks like they've got lots of stuff listed for bike starter motors.

Bearings, seal, brush plate etc for US$29, a tad better than the $555.49 KTM NZ want for the entire starter The site's shipping to NZ was a mere US$122 via UPS so it's coming via youshop. Should have the whole lot here for about the same as it cost me to get an auto sparky to supply & install just the brushes a while back.

Update: got the bits today, 11 days delivery = not bad! They did pack the wee box of starter parts in a massive box full of packing beads which made the Youshop shipping NZ$31 rather than $17 though... If ordering again I'd probably add a note asking them to scale down the packaging a bit!

Not any more I don't. Mine was an HJC and it locked down whereas all others i have seen spring back up when pushed gently, ergo avoiding removing the end of your nose in a crash.

I was given a Nolan 101?? helmet , the sun visor is on the out side thereby avoiding the possibility of a Woody type hooter.

Sounds like you got a bloody good deal mate, Cheapest I can find here is $179 on Fishpond.
Did it come with a zip up case to hold it all? And have you tried starting a car with it?

No zip up pouch and yes we started a car with it. Works great. lots of reviews online too.

You could probably make something yourself with supplies from one of those RC places in China, you can get LiPo, Lithium and NiMH cells in all sorts of sizes and configurations.
Set something up on a switchable circuit that's always charging but not discharging like those original dual cell/never go flat setups.
