    2014 Fat Boy

Been cruising around on this baby all week. Report for over this side.

    2014 fat boy hd

I've been saving up all my out of town gigs. Been to the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast on it and enjoyed it a lot. It's as efficient as a metric. (I can hear the purists moan 'character' now.)

Selects neutral when stationary - even with the engine off. (You have to have ridden an older one to fully understand). Handling is quite light but the riding position, cornering clearance and the big-looking front end mean you tend to 'point it' out of corners rather than haul it around. Good fun for a cruiser. (Are we allowed to mention counter-steering yet.)

If it was mine I'd have to put some sliders on the footboards and one of those raised 'Rocker' style seats that seem to be the fashin'. I like them - you could put a few inch taller springs in 'em. There's more room for the taller gentleman with the pussy pad taken off too. There are no doubt cosmetics to cover the fasteners when used as a single-seat job.

The colour is growing on me. Currently at 'ambivalence'. I do tend to stare at it though. It is spiffy with the HD logo.

Fine lookin beastie in that colour, it makes a good difference from the usual collection of colours that have been around for a while now.

Had to have a wee chuckle at the efficiency comment. But feck about time HD got their proverbial 'chite' together eh.

Shish Dave spiffy??? Yee olde english or what eh, think you might have spent alittle too much time in the sun enjoying that bike eh, lol.
    Cheers Ando

Forsooth, I have a veritable gamut of 'em.

And verily not in the style of that house as you have adroitly indicated.

Looks like a FLSTF Fat Boy ride away from NZ$31,495. Well that's what the Rolling Thunder 2014 brochure says.

I remember the Fat Boy coming out years back. Still looks cool.

Dave - WTF do HD's model destinations mean? There must be some system ..... FLSTF ........
