If the bike is in Tirau, how would the flight work? Could it be moved to Hamilton? I assume the bike is all legal etc.

I could knock this off in a weekend, would be some interesting fun. Head from Auckland to somewhere on Friday evening. Saturday to Wellington, likely grab a late afternoon or early evening ferry (assuming this can be booked) and stay in Picton, Chch on Sunday, fly back to the somewhere and back to Auckland. So the bike would need to be somewhere close-ish to flight, unless someone can assist?

Now now, we are not here to judge. The man needs help to get the bike to Chch. That is all. Anyone...

Ok chaps and chapesses. We have had a multitude of bikers who are contemplating this, so no more applicants required thank you.

And, thanks to the ones who have contributed here. I am proud to be part of this community (even if I think the T's are horrible...)

    Cheers bud.

New owner has given me a call for an initial scope. Trailer not included as he figures it would be more dangerous, so it will be moved by Motorcycle Movers next year when they have space. He's still sussing out options like rail.

Otherwise, I'm figuring best is probably a bus Friday evening to Tirau, collect bike next morning and down to ferry. Sailing options are probably the most tricky part (but at least a trailer doesn't have to be factored in). Other option is collecting the bike say this weekend, then riding it down next weekend (ferries looking more difficult closer to Christmas though). Flights north are easy.

See what the owner wants... could also see if a mate has been let out of school (a teacher) and maybe he wants a few days of riding (if he's allowed)
