I see a lot of similarities between the way he rides and the way I ride. Like, we both wear helmets and... well that's about it, but it's very similar.

Bought the movie when it came out on iTunes.

The whole thing is awesome but any of the first three sections alone makes the purchase worthwhile (Cachia, RV & AC, Parsons & DeCotis & Spinney)
Smoke 'em if you have 'em

When you purchase a vid through iTunes do you have to watch it through iTunes or does it give you an mp4 file?

Gave me an m4v file, which I haven't yet managed to play in anything other than itunes, but I haven't spent heaps of time investigating how to do otherwise

Did a little reading up. Apparently it's as easy as changing the extension to mp4 to get it to play in a different media player or device. I wanna watch this on the big screen.

But farken hard to race on/in, which is why the MXON is always far more interesting when it lands on a Euro sand track like Lommel.

The hardest workout I've ever had, as in seeing stars and nearly fainting from physical exertion, was a practice day out at the Mercer track and that is only really half soft sand... and I'm not unfit either.

It doubled my respect for Herlings.

I think a lot of people make it physically harder than it is though by fighting the bike rather than just letting it go where it wants to and going with it. Once you get your head round it it can make life a shitload easier.

Yeah there's definitely a technique for it, even the top guys can be fast everywhere else in the world and suck in the sand.

Luckily more 50% of my riding is at Woodhill, so I've had plenty of sand riding experience.

I'm not sure why I've always thought of it this way but

    Sand is like water skiing?
Stay on top of it and its great! Go under the surface and its hard work
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

The softer the sand, the softer the landing when you fall off. Which is good, because the softer the sand, the more you'll fall off.
