Who knows??? Maybe true - maybe not true ..

In the past I have got away with worse - but that was in the past - not today.

Does it matter ??? Why give it space in your head? If it's true, why dob in this cop? How does it impact on your whether it is true or not?

Whether your brother is bullshitting or not, whether the cop let him off or not - it's not your issue .. let it go ..

I don't mind the cops chasing people and wish they would just say hey this is what we do to catch the bad guys instead of bending over to the Remuera 4WD club who prob only complain as they had a parking ticket that day.
Awhile back there was a story in our rag down here:
A STATIONARY patrol car clocked an ONCOMING Subaru at 175kph, in court police said the offender ACCELERATED more after going past the cop. Now how fast did that stationary SV6 commodore go to catch up after he turned around and initiated a pursuit??? They caught the guy in the end, well done and all. But they missed an opportunity to say to these young ones hey you cant outrun us.
Even watching that police 10-7 show, most people can probably work out how fast those cars are going sometimes from the sound even though the camera might conveniently point away from the speedo.
But I guess if your safety message that going 4k over the limit is a deathtrap you can't be admitting to be doing xxxkm/h in daily duties with near zero crash rate...
Not so sure ... back when we used to be able to listen in on the scanner, I heard of Mr call in a chase.

It started on East Coast Road in Auckland, the dude on the Tractor ( Hardley ) failed to stop for a WOF/REG check ( profiling ) he turned into Lonely Track Road & headed west at a leisurely pace at the end of that he turned left down the Albany hill to the bottom & then went up The Avenue .... It was a dry night, good visibility, the rider was not out of control, the speed was being called over the radio every so often until coms said na pull out & that was about 150ish for memory, he pulled over the sirens went off & they went into search mode ....

This was also somewhere between 11pm & 2am for memory

From listening to the scanner back in the good old days, in light traffic I remember chases being called off once they went past around 120-140kmh in a 50 zone.

    Possible? Yes.
    Likely? No.

I know of those that have had even better than that, so yes, it's possible.

If he was doing 168 on a public road with no licence then he's a wanker. People like him cause problems for the rest of us. If he's bullshitting then he's just a try hard wanker. Wanker on both counts.

Yip agree, seems everyone has missed the ''obvious'' WTF moment...

''riding his L2 GSXR 1000... radar had him at 168 kmh but locked on at 150kmh. My brother has no motorcycle license of any sort not even a learners''.

Yerp! Agreed! I've never had much respect for bikers who talk themselves up... leave it on the track or the road, mate. We don't need to hear about how badass or how crazy fast you are, it means nothing 'til we actually see some proof (or self control, prob gets more respect TBH)

BTW, you laying a complaint would make you a bigger wanker than your brother in my book.

Fuck you cunts are predictable. If I changed a couple of details of the story you'd all be putting boot into the cop but because the "offender" was on a motorbike.....
