I'm calling bullshit, what d'ya reckon?

So my (47 yo) brother claims to have been pulled over by a cop today while riding his L2 GSXR 1000.
Acoording to my brother the cop said the radar had him at 168 kmh but locked on at 150kmh.
My brother has no motorcycle license of any sort not even a learners.
He was sent on his way without any infringement notices being written and says he barely got a warning.
Supposedly the last thing the cop said to him was "i never pulled you over, if they find out about this ill be in the shit"

If I could be certain it was true I would be laying a complaint against this officer on the basis of if he is letting this go what else is he turning a blind eye to?
I just cant believe this story though.
What do you guys think? Anybody here got a similar (true) experience.

Seems feasible if it happened in the BOP. Maybe the cop had an orgy to get to & couldn't be bothered waiting for the tow truck?

BTW, you laying a complaint would make you a bigger wanker than your brother in my book.

Maybe it was that Tauranga cop that got spanked a few years back by one of his own for doing 170 on a GSXR1000, pro biker or something or maybe he stopped straight away and passed the attitude test?
On the MythBusters scale I'd rate it plausible without further info and who the cop was etc...
Not worth losing any sleep over it anyway, or kicking up a fuss down at the station and looking silly...
I know of one group ride down our way few years back where one guy was also clocked at 150ish, cop baited him for ages, telling him was bike impounded etc, then just let him go with $150 improper overtaking fine.
There are still some good ones out there.

Also about ten years ago a fellow truck driver was doing the blind overtake on SH5 at night between Tirau and Rotorua based on some guy up front telling him it was 'all clear buddy' on the CB.
But it turned out not to be all clear, they guy broadcast a warning but too late. Anyway a lady coming the other way confronted by a b-train panics (rightfully so), locks it up and does a 180 into bank.
Now the driver concerned had no truck licenses at all but was one of those savvy talkers. He got the other ladys car moved saying it was in a dangerous pot and swept up all the glass, when the cops arrived they couldn't really tell where the accident had happened. Now that whole situation had mega potential to be a disaster but he only got the same fine as above $150 for bad overtaking and prob for licence also and he did get the sack of course...

Thats the strange thing. It's not like he some young blowarse (why i mentioned his age) he likes a bit of bullshit, as we all do, but this, to me, is too unbelievable to think he's trying to have me on. I can't quite work it out so had to ask the kb experts.

I used to work with a guy like that, the good thing is the lies are so elaborate there's usually conflicting information in the story that exposes it all. Let them run with it and they'll usually be something that trisp them up.
Did you ask him why he even stopped if was doing those speeds???
