    Moto X Central

this is the new name for Kimmy's Farm, Kimmy has sold up and and the New owner James McNabney is a dirt bike ride for a long time, a former top 10 National 125 rider from the 90's and still dam fast on a dirt bike,

apparently upgrades are on there way, and knowing James and what he rides i suspect it may be a bit more MX focused,

for those of you on facebook here is his page,

Sounds like my favourite place in the world to ride is about to get even better!

Although the MX track did once put me in hospital... so hopefully it's not just that that gets the love.

Change is good , James is still a dam quick rider in the vets so expect a serious Mx track and I'm sure he wants to make the place a great to training track for the Pro's .

i doubt he will go very much more serious on the MX track, i can't see a heap of big jumps being put in anyway, time will tell,

From a couple of fast ex-racer guys I know, the length of the MX track is the main issue. It's plenty long and scary enough for me though. Actually it's not that scary, just the last jump downhill before the entry/exit that gives me the shits.

The enduro loop is AWESOME!! Needs more enduro loop!

do they still have the short little table at the start?

that downhill double at the start finish has owned many people. quite a few years ago now the group i was with no one hit it until Haki with his 65 would scrub it perfect everytime.

Last time I was there yes, I always under jump it as athough I've cleared it a few times, I've also only just not cleared it, which is not fun as it's quite an abrupt drop off.

Seen so many people bail on the start finish double, last time I was there a kid on a 125 was making it look easy, but then he got it wrong, looked real painful! They've shrunk the 2nd mound/jump over the years, but still looks bloody terrifying when you're looking at it from over the bars, as you come around the top corner.

Maybe they're just closed for the dry, hot season.

Nah with all the intermittent rain, they've had a few issues keeping it open due to being too wet.

Hope it's temporary, as I was planning to spend a few days down there over the Xmas break.

We will be open this weekend. Tracks are dry. MX track will be watered to keep the dust down but dries out fast in this heat so might be dusty in the arvo. We will be open the weekend between Xmas and New Years (28th and 29th) as well. Check here or phone James for open days in the new year. Thanks
