Hi ya Tazz. Significant amounts of planning has gone into avoiding exactly what you mentioned. Here's how we avoid this. To join up as a RemoteMoto Rider a profile photo and garage photo needs to be supplied to ensure it is a legitimate RemoteMoto Rider account. When a Rider reviews products, tyres etc a photo has to be supplied to verify the review is legit. The final hurdle is the fact that everything published on RemoteMoto is manually viewed and approved. For genuine RemoteMoto Riders supplying legitimate and quality content there will be rewards in the form of RemoteMoto points. For those trying to cheat the system, it will take very little time to detect this and accounts will be unreservedly removed. The aim is to ensure all RemoteMoto Riders are legitimate and all the reviews are legitimate so the reviews and articles on RemoteoMoto can be read with confidence.

Also when you are sorting out dudes overseas having it so others can submit as well might help if they get a bit slack or anything overtime on the whole thing? (Slightly less micromanaging for you?). I am not sure what is available worldwide but I certainly think the ambitions you have hinted at for it are not unacheivable at all.
The routes will only be managed by RemoteMoto area managers as I take land access very seriously and will not be promoting or publishing any routes on places where land owners do not want riders to go or places where it is not legal to ride. RemoteMoto Riders “own content” is limited to adding updates, photos, and reviews to routes. Riders can of course also contribute ride reports, workshop articles, product reviews etc all of which receive RemoteMoto points.

Haha, yes, that section of road was the only one I contemplated to be free which would do a favour to anyone planning a ride that was unfamiliar with the, ummm, minimalistic appeal!

Thanks Tazz, as mentioned above I am appreciative of all feedback, just don’t go reminding me of the money involved in this project, the development costs to date are staggering! However, it is a project I am proud to be bringing to life and the positive feedback shows it is moving in the right direction

With it being so early into the release of such a large scale website it is normal for a few bugs to pop up and need addressing. It's not ideal, but an unavoidable part of software development. The good news is, for every bug that a RemoteMoto Rider reports you will get 50 RemoteMoto Points The process is to simply email the bug through to me and I’ll address the issue and grant the RemoteMoto Points.

Thanks for letting me know of that bug, I'll address that and add 50 points to your account

Ahaa, I appreciate your willingness to add a feature to the map however features that appear places on the map (such as Hotels, fuel stops etc) require the area manager to add them however you can of course add reviews/updates/photos to existing places on the map.

The reason that only area managers can add new features to the map is to ensure all information on the RemotoeMoto map have been personally visited and verified by a RemoteMoto area manager to ensure the information is valid and legit. That may seem a little over the top but the focus for RemoteMoto is to be the highest quality resource possible
