He could spend a day (or an hour) at the Basin Reserve here during peak time and I'll get Rastus an Old Roger (delightfully deceptive UK beer) or two from that nice beer store nearby. Two red light runners, an amber lighter or two, couple of texters and a pear tree off her rocker with kids in the back in 45 secs I came across. In fact come to think that offer applies to any of the M/C boys in blue.

Sadly that would be a slow day compared to what I've seen here today alone.
    And I'd buy him rum...

I thought all the lights in Newtown were voluntary stops?

Remember a mate going out on the A40 London (duel lane lots of lights) in a minicab and the driver squealed to a halt on a green - and then he did it again on the next greens - Mate asked what the F and the guy replied that his (also a mincab) brother always shot the reds and he was just taking precautions

    You mean something like this??

Black Kawasaki ZX6R on Akaroa Highway today, with two hot chicks - if this was you, take a bow for your superb textbook cornering technique. I'm guessing you are either; great bikers with years of experience, or racers, or ex pat POM’s with Roadcraft experience, or instructors or ex biker cops. You were smooth, fast and safe. Bloody impressive! Even though your safety gear you were wearing left a little to be desired. Was hoping you'd stop in Little River for a chat, or maybe a quick leg over..

    This should get cassina going.....again

I got an email from Riderskills today about the new licence testing system. At the bottom was his usual footer image with the words "Safer - Smoother - Faster".

Sounds like Cassina needs to go and explain things to Chief Instructor Philip McDaid.

Really and are they as well informed and knowledgeable as you on things safety?
NZTA I mean, hell, we all know you're the countries top notch safety expert, after all.
Nanny state has nothing on you!

Just when you think it's impossible for cassina to add further conformation of complete ignorance, she makes the statement above

The well-known pet food manufacturer isn't required to have NZTA approval for the simplest of reasons but I guess when you have one brain cell, using it for breathing is a questionably better option than actually taking the trouble to find out why for yourself rather than making an arse of yourself again.

And as for Philip McDaid, the people who know him would all agree that he's one of the best trainers in the business at all levels. It's also a measure of the man that in addition to his commercial business, he put a huge amount of time each week on an unpaid basis in helping people to raise their skills. Most people who know Philip would walk over broken glass for him.

I guess you don't read much but there's a quote by an English philosopher which seems appropriate in your case:

“There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments and which keeps a man in everlasting ignorance - that principle is contempt prior to investigation”
