    Off road clubs in Auckland?

Hey guys. Just getting into riding and looking for people to ride with. Have really taken a liking to trail / bush/ forest riding. Is there any clubs or groups in Auckland for this sort of thing?

Look up Silver bullet and look in events, heaps in there.

KDXs rock. Had a great blast on mine today.

Sounds like you would enjoy the Waitamata motorcycle club events. Trail rides and races based in Riverhead (summer) and Woodhill (winter). Check out their website for upcoming rides. A great bunch of guys with a lot of experience.
The Kdx is a great choice and still competitive in the tight stuff with a few simple mods. I raced mine in their recent 2 man and wasn't disgraced.

A lot depends on what riding you want to do, Waitemata/Rodney more into cross country and old school natural terrain MX. Puke use Harrisville and Mercer you can ride a KDX but you'll find the tracks a challenge. Ardmore more user friendly to the novice/beginner.
This time of year there's a great number of trail rides around most are around the Nth Waikato region usually put on by local bike shops etc check on silverbullet.co.nz.

I'm no good at the moment, with my wife being in the last 4 weeks of pregnancy (I'm on the no ride list), but when I'm able, come and join in with my group on a few social rides, there's about 8 of us in a group that goes riding regularly enough to get a couple of rides a month if you're keen. I'm the fastest of the group, which means no worrying about being too slow, if I'm as good as it gets...

Only slight snag is, if some of my mates are to be listened to, "when I'm able" will be sometime in 2016...
