Found this on another forum so thought I'd chuck it up here.
This was from the Rider skills training day at Hampton on the 10th, no serious injuries apart from a few scuffs and grazes where the guys leather wore through.
Pretty fucking bad form by the rider who took him out; apparently he tried to take off after the incident as well.

Props to the first rider for being able to keep it upright in the dirt for so long! I did smile at the very end when you see whoever it was throwing a peice of bike in frustration.
Can someone enlighten as to overtaking rules on track days (more for my curiosity than any desire to measure out blame)

There was a 2 metre rule and we were told on the day to treat the yellow pit lines as a concrete wall. He managed to ignore both rules and ruin the day for two others.

I blame the guy on the Italian tractor, if he wasn't stuck in second gear maybe this wouldn't of happened.
Looks pretty innocent too me, the guy on the blue bike had more pace on and looked like he had the door shut on him to be honest. (he probably should have crossed the pit entry to avoid the collision, but hey rules is rules)
Fuck knows what sort of retardation the triumph rider is on though. Was it a sympathy fall off?

That's what I thought too. Classic example of someone overwhelmed by rules, speed, racetrack (lookitmeMum!) and close proximity to another bike, doing something weirdly dumb.

Naaa ... More like 130 plus and accelerating ... you can barely see the speed under the cables of the second rider's bike ... I've taken that corner at 130klicks - not on a sprots bike .. the only thing was I scrapped my boots .. the rider on the front bike is a lot slower though - taking that corner at under 100 klicks ...

Dumb shithead on the blue bike (R1?) should not have taken out the other rider .. taking a corner on the inside like that on a skills day is just stupidity - if he was that good he could have taken the outside line and still got passed ...

Not sure why people are calling it a 'skills day'. I don't recall any mention of that when I signed up. From what I saw it was a normal track day with a compulsory briefing for newbies after their first session with instructors there for anyone throughout the day.
