That's not the point though is it.
The rule for the day - stated clearly to everyone was:
Overtake where ever you want BUT the overtaking rider MUST maintain at least a 2m gap throughout the entire the manoeuvre.

That wasn't 2m. Bet the blue bike rider thought he had plenty of room... and then he crashed.

And I think it was probably the first lap or two, everyone bunched up - some people taking it extra easy to warm up tyres etc.

Well it wasn't novice because I was in that one. But judging by your speed and ultra early braking it looks like you should have been there too

That was closer than 2m. The organisers said come to them with any issues. Did you? I doubt you will get any sympathy on this forum....

Wow you must be some top notch racer to have analyzed the 5sec video and work out so much. Either that or you are Sherlock.
I did go and tell the organizer and they said they will talk to him.
I am not here for sympathy. Just sharing what actually happened on the day. People do this kinda stuff all the time. But its only a problem when somebody gets hit.
I go to trackdays to learn and try to be as safe as possible when overtaking. I woulndt have passed that close, but obviously that guy thought he would be ok to pass and he did. Then again so did the other guy who took out three bikes.

Exactly, bottom line is it's a track day for people to get out and have some fun. That sort of cowboy dumbass shit isn't cool.

I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't the first dodgy move he had made either... Guys like that don't just suddenly bust out something dodgy out of nowhere. Wonder if he had been spoken to by course control yet?

Didn't seem too close, but given what you've posted about the circumstances and the rules on the day, I wouldn't want/expect anything closer than that.

When you showed that to the organisers at the end of the session, what did they say?

    But from that vid.

way too early to start braking,
you were drifting to the left so closed the gap.

just wait until someone does that then cuts in front then brakes hard, then you can have a cry, or just go around them.

I didnt show them the video. I went and talked to one of the marshals and told him what had happened.
He asked me who it was and i pointed out the culprit. Not sure what the marshal did after that.
Feel free to post it on their Facebook page.

And for all those analyzing and saying i was too slow and hence I had it coming.
The reason for early braking was so much traffic in front as you can see in the video.
I didnt want to overtake just before the corner and hence slowed down.
I dont think i made any sudden moves for this guy to overtake so close. To me he did it just because he is faster and he thinks what he is doing is fine.
The guy definitely did it more than once. I saw him overtake pretty close few times in that same lap.
I am sure we will be having a different conversation if he had actually hit me. Too slow or not it would have been his fault as its made clear in the morning about the 2m rule.
