Mitas EO7 pressure question

Hi guys

I have a KTM 990 adv with a mitas EO7 rear and a conti TKC80 front. What pressures do you guys recommend for off road and what pressure should I use for pavement use?
I'm doing a long sealed ride shortly and don't want my tyres to dissolve! hoping that the right tyre pressures might alleviate the pain on my wallet

Thats sounds about right for your heavier machine, I run the identical setup on my 690 for practically all riding. I like the TKC fronts for when there is more road as they seem to stick well on tarmac, plus work off road. The E07's wear incredibly well, which is reassuring when on long adventure rides and when the 990/690 break free on the power :-D.

I generally run the tires on higher pressure (28 ish for my bike), as it keeps more stable on the road/speed, and makes them less susceptible to punctures from rocks and other hard impacts while hooning off road. I only drop the pressure, when there will be extended mud/dirt/grass sections...and I've been impressed how well the E07 will grab and work through that bad stuff...and when I mean drop the tyre pressure, I mean like way down...ie 10lbs. This way the tire will actually deform and bite its way through. (I carry a small bike pump to bring it back up when required)

If I am doing more dirt/mud/grass as part of an adventure ride, or believe that there will be real off roading ie more trail bike conditions. I run full setup of MT21's (I'm going for MT21 setup for dusty butt, so will be interesting to see how it wears compared to the tkc80/E07)

Cheers For all the responses. Vegeman - sounds like you chose the E07/TKC80 combo for the same reasons I did. I find the tkc80 front awesome for road, dirt road and gravel use, but it makes me nervous in wet mud/dirt. I'll probably buy a Dunlop d606 front if I do anything muddier than what I do now, and I'll air the E07 down like you suggest. Thanks for the tip.

I like the MT21 front/E07 rear combo.

On road 24f/28r, off road 20f/18r.

On the heavier bike, I'd be looking around 26-28r for gravel use especially if you've got a bit of baggage. 4-6psi more for seal.
