Use the font that you used to make the "smokeu" graphic at the bottom of your post and make a fake plate. Get a live number from a cop bike - that should be registered and warranted.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

And they've got the gall to label them "traffic safety camera units".

For them, they work. Heading northbound on SH1, passing the Autobahn, no idea why traffic slows to 50kph as we approach... ah, a "Traffic safety" van. After we pass... back to 100kph...

Ahh but BD you missed the point. It's about safety, the assistant commissioner said so.

But seriously, at that point the Police are just a branch of the IRD, IRS, or whatever it's called in the West Island.

I just rode my bike 660 odd kilometers with no wof or reg in one day. Had cops behind me for 8km on a certain expressway. No tickets.
Thank you NZ Police, I really appreciate you not giving a fuck about me

I "stole" that image from the plates.co.nz website. How unoriginal of me. But don't tempt me too much with that cop plate idea, as my bike is very recognisable.

What if they stopped you with tape obscuring your plate, but you explained to them ever so nicely that it was a mistake and you simply forgot to take it off after trying to do a burnout?

You live in the Riviera of the south... stay there.

Couple of nights ago shouted at a some women after following her for several kilometres with an interesting lap (well, she must have thought so because she kept looking at it). Nose to tail near miss, almost cleaned out a cyclist, constantly accelerating and braking and deviating from her lane. Pulled up along side at a traffic light to see her slowing to a stop looking at her mobile (no surprises) and shouted at her to stop using her mobile while driving, her driving was absolutely shocking and stop using your mobile while driving. She just sat there looking in somewhat disbelief at me shouting at her.

One can only hope she got the message, but man, did I wish I was a cop at that point...

Oh, and late-ish this evening, a car blew a red traffic light in downtown Auckland. Not even running a red, another traffic phase had already been and we were about to go. Just... well, no fricken idea what they were thinking.

Stay south, you might live longer...

I will occasionally run my bike ( or car ) untill the next pay with an expired rego, and if I get nabbed, then have no one to blame but me. If someone is using a vehicle knowing the rego is on hold etc, and gets pinged, then I dont have much sympathy for them.
