    Hey there NF,
    I am probably not the best person to talk to, have only just got her and not done bugger all klms on it yet - it is vibey but that is down to the rim locks I reckon, the seat I have just strapped a Airhawk on (but haven't tried it) - do have anti vibe bar raisers on so thinking that may help - got the massive Acerbis tank but that is still in bubble wrap in the garage (only turned up yesterday) - to be totally honest I am riding her as I got her and will make changes when I can
    Cheers
    Crim

    it helps to balance your wheels, as for gearing i run 13-50 as id rather have better control in the steep and rugged, its a dirt bike not road bike, and your are doing around 700ks off road, u could carry a bigger front sprocket, if u are riding hard, an oil change in alex won't hurt, also check your cluch fluid,

    thoughts on new gear after the Dusty

    G'day
    Big tank didn't turn up in time, but as far as the rest go;
    Rox anti vibe risers - Awesome
    Airhawk - good a world of difference - new seat would be better but can move this to anybike
    Giant Loop Coyote - Awesome

    My riding partner this year was on a 450 exc with standard tank and a 5 litre can strapped on the back. Got through with no problems, although had to fill at Moa creek. Thanks Struan. Although may have just made it to Oterahau?

    Seat was an issue on the long road sections though. was funny watching a group of EXC riders 5 minutes into the road section on Sunday doing some weird dances as they rode along. Might be the next dance craze. The EXC shuffle.
    I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

    I hear ya, the stock seat is a killer - the EXC shuffle go something like - left cheek, right cheek, middle, stand and repeat often?
    I did miss the old girl on the highway with the couch seat, lack of rim locks and the heated grips!

    Welcome to my world - the 950 seat is a plank.

    I sent my 625SXC seat to McDonald Trimmers at Tauranga to be lowered as much as possible and made comfortable. They did my Transalp seat previously. The SXC with the modified seat was as comfortable as for the two days of the DB just starting to feel it a bit on the home stretch after Black Forest. I usually wear a pair of padded bum bike shorts for multi day rides but forgot to pack them but as it turned out didn't need them fortunately. Highly recommend McDonald Trimmers. Excellent to deal with and excellent product. Cheers.
    Sometimes you wish it was easier, but if it was, everyone else would do it, then you remember you don't want to be like everybody else!
