Mate has a couple of those RGs. I rode one a ways back. Neat little think std. Felt nothing like mine on 17s and riding position.

Isn't a fully restored Z1 worth about $28k?
And also he's off to an excellent start with his answer to the first question. Well played!

Bit more rust than I'd like to see for that money. Croz doesn't ask much more for a fully restored one.
Given the amount of work I can see needed it is a tad overpriced - but they seem to have gone to stupid money.
Standard exhaust seem to last a lot longer in the US. Local bikes seemed to get a 4-into1 along with the first service
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

You are talking to someone who spent decades racing a 50cc often against those with bikes 2 to 3 times the size.
A "riders bike?!?" Fuk off. That's just code for bland and slow. Ohh, ooh. Maybe it's got " character " that's code for the same with some good old 70s/80s Italian electrics thrown into the mix.

I was being saaarcastik.
Only on the bookend, 1989. Ironically the electrics were tye most reliable part by not raising their head over the other noise.
My 2008 I rewound a coil.
My 2021 touch wood has been OK.
Continuing on the V50 slight, one of the occasional group had one. She flattened on the tank and took off at full speed (on an off road testing ground, not too dissimilar to the Himatangi straights) . My poor old GS550 had been geared up by previous owner, squashing whatever acceleration it had. I sidlded up beside her, bolt upright, one hand on the tank curious to her blending under the paintwork prone antics.
"Sometimes you just have to wind it out to 160 she excitedly exclaimed later". Or at least what her Velga (Vaguear?) instruments had displayed. Funny. I was only doing 140 (probably a real 130).
Oh well.

I considered looking it up as I knew it wasn't quite right, but decided I didn't really care. Then I started humming the tune for Luca (who lives on the 2nd floor) and got distracted.
