By the looks he'd get that much for it overseas.

Tried to get my old man into a 308 during his mid life crisis, figured it would be more expensive to run but retain it's value better than the BMW we were there to look at (and bought). For all the hype they're not really all that exciting as far as cars go.

    You were doing it wrong.

Me and mine could embarrass quite a few sports bikes, and it was absolutely side splitting seeing people's reaction to doing wheelies on it.

Well I don't know what you've been told, but if you use your eyes there's a few things right there. Then your ears if you are unfortunate enough to hear one running clattering its cam chain to death.
Don't you look at my accountant.

They don't look great standard, but they're push rod motors aren't they?

With an especially odd 80 degree V angle and special twisted heads which is why they are Pushrod (that and to keep them narrower.)
Other than a few minor issues at first they are bullet proof as they were designed to be Super or turbo charged from the begining.
They go alright for what they are. A Bros is miles better.

Can chain greblie never fixed. Stators burnt and required engine removal. Ugliness ensured. Boringness terminal. Give me an RD400 any day of 1978. . . Except that would have been lethal in the hands of a ten yr old. The 350 seven years later wasn't much safer.

Well sorry guys but I own two of them-sold a third-30 years old, shaft drive, water cooled,so simple to repair, cruise all day at the speed limit plus a bit-Stator was only a problem on the pre 81's,transistor ign after that, cam chains last at least 50 to 60 thousand K's.How about 290000K's on one set of rings.I could go on but that would be boring, from some comments I would say several respondents had never ridden one.Bikebandit "could'nt turn left against the engine spin"what a load of crap,go back to L plates and learn how to ride.

I'd be upset too, if I was unfortunate enough to own 2 of them.
