But that said I do have the cylinder and crankcase (for the most part 65%) actually done.
you have seen the cylinder pics and the mould pics (I cheated a bit with those granted as I had professional help) Scott and a few others has seen them in the flesh. They do exist.
Funny enough the issues you actually had with the welded cases was actually the reason for trying to do my own cases.
That said I stand by my comment the CX500 went all right for what they were. I have ridden more than one. Ugly though. but as its a 70's Honda what do you expect.
I can't think of a pretty 70's Honda short of a RSC or the Elsinore or a CB400F
