It must have had some provenance for that money. I was just reading my latest PB and Chris Walker is in there saying he was offered his either BSB or WSB RC45 for 13000 at season end and he didnt have the coin.
Theres an RC45 on tardme for $45knz presently. Asking. Likely get it for say $40.
Just saying.
It makes every SP1 and SP2 in the world a bargain....

Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
Surely this one has been posted, but I stopped reading after the thread got all bitchy a while back:

I love this. But it seems to be an example of someone buying a bike for say $6k, then spending a bit of time and effort on it, and suddenly its miraculously worth double that.
In my experience that is not how it goes.
for three grand more you can buy a new Ducati Scrambler or Triumph Scrambler.
People want way too much for these anyway for what they are.

What is with these wankers trying to make money on modified vehicles? I mean, you took a factory bike, designed by seriously clever cunts in Japan and ruined it, and you want people to pay more for that?

The two hipster guys from "Pariah Custom Werks" in Browns Bay sell 10+ year old, less than 1000cc, Jap bikes they've "done up" for over $30,000.
Apparently they've managed to sell at least one.
Don't get me wrong - some of their work is nice (if somewhat uninspired), but hands up if you'd pay over $30,000 for an old Jap bike repainted and a new exhaust put on it.
