I don't really see what's so optimistic about $4500. Remember, it's the buy now - buy nows will always be on the upper limit.
If someone really wants one of that model it's not like they have 20 to choose from.

I have nothing against this guy and the R1 he's trying to sell for $9500 or near offer.
What I find annoying is when people say "no test rides" in the end or "if you want to know how it feels like to be on one of these go to the dealership because I don't want you riding my bike" and other shit like that.
Thing is, dealerships are dealerships because they got a business to run and will more than likely keep their products (bikes in our case) up to scratch and certain standard/quality.
Now why would the bike you are selling be exactly the same as the bike someone else is selling? Doesn't matter if it's the same style or model it's two separate motorbikes.
What I find optimistic about these sellers is they expect someone to buy their bike without ever riding and feeling the bike itself to see if anything is out of the norm.
For me, if I do not test ride a bike then I'm not buying it. Simple as that.
What are everyone's thoughts?
Totally agree. I don't understand the mentality at all, and would always obviously let an interested party ride a bike I was selling. And I don't see any reason why not - the probability of a crash is low, you're typically insured for other riders, and the other party would be liable for excess/damage anyway (though yes I understand it could be difficult getting blood from some stones).
Don't buy a bike you can't test ride then. Plenty of people will.
I don't understand why it's a problem for anyone.
I've bought bikes I haven't test ridden too. The question isn't whether/why people are prepared to buy bikes without test-riding them. The point is these sellers who think their bike is such hot shit that no one ought to be entitled to consider riding such a machine. It's obnoxious and stupid. Like some people on KB, eh Drew?
