Not motorcycling but I was looking for Rammstein stuff on tardme and this came up.

What the actual fuck? a $200 mountainbike tyre!

    http://www.trademe.co.nz/sports/cycl...1152015581.htm

    has anyone ever bought one?

    In fact I asked them.

Hello. Has anyone EVER bought a tyre from you? This would end up costing $200NZD. If you buy a pair you are over $400 and the LANDED cost is in excess of $500 (say $400 for the tyres plus $60 for GST plus all the extra fees they tack on). So my question is: are you on crack?

Continental are pretty good, most serious multi terrain riders will pay top $ for these. $250 delivered?
Too rich for my blood... but then the continental Tyres I have on my MTB I bought on clearance when I went for a 300c conversion . 1 had $150 off the shelf price the other had $100 off. $200 the pair not fitted. Shelf price included fitting but seriously $550 the pair they better be.

That said... grippy as fuck even in the wet, very puncture resistent... radial type.

Possibly cheaper now I haven't had to buy the larger 29" tyres for 4 years or so, but back then good luck finding anything other than mud tyres for under $100.

Yep. It's not like the FJ1200 was or will ever be collectable or a classic.

Sounds like a total rip off but maybe what he is asking is what it is really worth in NZ.
A quick google search and I found the same thing for less than $70USD.

My A3 had a cool little display on the top of the fuel tank. Completely pointless of course because even me at 3 ft 6 tall could not see it when riding. Fuel guage I think it was

How ever great bike best road bike to date I've ridden had a lot of fun on it.. This guy however wish you would of contacted me first rather then be a keyboard warrior about it.. Yea the parts were replaced new headlights new full fairing kit, plus some others.. As for the exhaust cover when I put the bike back together I was so eager to get out I forgot to screw down the rightside exhaust cover hard enough and on that first glorious ride the screws wriggled loose and of course the exhaust cover came off... Genuine rider here love it live it for it, see on you on the road Mr 250

I commend you on fixing up the erroneous detail in your auction. I have no idea why you would say the bike has "forged pistons" or after market exhausts (when they are completely OEM) when you just admitted you have no idea what has been done to it?

Also something doesn't really add up with you saying you didn't know it was a write off. The photo of the bike in white/black... Right carbon side fairing is cracked, the front brake reservoir cap has a deep graze on front edge (this only happens when the bike is upside down btw).... The Fuel tank shows the "amazing paint work" applied on top right edge (around knee grips) and the red Yamaha logo (which is a sticker) are a dead give away this bike may have not been always on two wheels? Did you really not maybe think it could have been a decent crash/written off?

Also the title of this forum is "optimistic sellers". Just light hearted piss take. It's a free world, you can ask as much as you want for your bike but I can also comment on it.

As far as I am concerned knob cheese the kid owned up to putting up incorrect detail "inadvertently" and has changed the detail in his auction.

This doesn't make me a fucktard. It makes me right and makes you look like a clown.
