Bimota means beautiful big air cooled Suzuki 1100 powered gem. The SB4 was their finest hour.

i'll meet you halfway, prefer the SB3 gs1000 powered ones, without those horrid 16 inch wheels

Good luck with this price is all I can say.
Yeah it's weird. You can fetch that any day of the week for a GSXR1100, but despite the FZR being a better bike...you'll prob never get that for one, despite how nice an example it is.

Not sure I would rate the Genesis a better bike having owned one.
The exups lifted the game as a better sports option in 1989.

Think I would far rather invest in a early gsxr1100 personally.
Its a nice bike but 9k is almost double the amount idd spend on one.
I have evolved as a KB member. Now nothing I say should be taken seriously.

I've owned 3 FZR1000's (2 T's and one B), and four GSXR1100 slabbies. I own one now. But in my opinion, the FZR1000T is hands down a better bike than the Slabbies.

For a new Supersport that is seriously cheap. How much do they normally sell for?

Perhaps, Billy reckons his SB8 was better, I prefer the DB10

I've owned both and I think the GSXR was and still is by far the better bike.

And that's great. I own one now, so obviously prefer them too. But I'll never agree they're the better bike. Chassis wise, they're not even in the same league. The forks on the GSXR with their anti dive are fucking shit, and the brakes are nowhere near as good as the FZr's. But...I'd still rather have my GSXR. Cause I like them more. Work that out.

Worked on a lot of both, ridden both quite a bit.
The FZR is a great bike looking for a better engine - the GSXR is a great engine in a slightly below par frame.

But as most of us are more impressed by how a bike responds to throttle rather than ultimate handling, the GSXR impresses more people.

Have to agree with this. Both are crying out for another gear too. But the GSXR def has great low end /mid range grunt the five valve is lacking.

Yam does need decent carbs/exhaust uncorking tune - but is a reliable, robust & not too service hungry machine..

Yep. I reckon the FZR is way smoother too. Every Slabbie I've had has numbed my hands. It too, is strangled by the exhaust. Put a decent pipe on them and they come alive. It's amazing they got them as light as they did with the std exhaust too. It weights a fucking tonne! But the FZR is def a well built engine. 45000kms between valve adjustments...and even then, you're often wasting your time checking them.
