For 9 grand you would want a new muffler to replaced the damaged one?
I have evolved as a KB member. Now nothing I say should be taken seriously.
On a six yr old 400.![]()
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
Bloody good bikes!!!
And worth the same coin as this you think?
http://www.trademe.co.nz/browse/list.../listing?rfm=1
Probably not, no. It depends what you are looking to do with the bike, you are comparing a super sport to a typically commuter bike.
Is a $35k Harley worth the same coin as an H2? To me, no way!!
CB400's are traditionally expensive..weather they're 'worth it' or not is up to the individual. Unsure why they are priced that way. They are simple, nothing special bikes, no frills, no surprises, what you see is what you get; but maybe that's why, similar to the Harley in paying for tradition. I do bet your bottom dollar the GSXR will shit out a lot quicker than the CB (assuming the manufacturing year was equal).
I know, and I'm challenging the view that he's being optimistic.
Why should it be $5k tops? (I agree they're expensive, don't get me wrong)
..Why are Harley's asking price $25k when all you're buying is a metal brick with chrome that converts fuel to noise? Similar argument with the CB, because that's what the market sets them at. Doesn't matter what yourself would pay for it.
I wouldn't call him a muppet for asking for that price. It will sell for more because $5k for a CB400 well below market, why would he ask for less? I just disagree he fits in with the rest of the links in the thread.
Show me a CB400 >2010 going for $5k..no $6k and I'll agree
Even in Japan, where the bike is manufactured you wouldn't get one for that!
This guy is an example of a muppet

Asking for more than what the 2016 model goes for brand new
prolly bought the "it's a LAMS bike so it'll hold its value better mate" sales pitch![]()
