I have been watching Motorbikes for sale NZ and NZ Bike Trader on facebook and there is so many no wof no rego bikes with big asking prices or people wanting to swap crap cars that are not road legal for bikes that it makes me laugh.

See a hardley 1980 for 5k and think could be ok. open remainder of comments and .........

Bike is deregistered and been sitting in storage for years. Bike is now stripped down and I'm halfway through a rebuild. Price will go up as I progress with work on it.

    Wait a update

Just bought brand new oversize pistons and cylinders are being bored this week, then price will go up

Funny the photo was of a complete hardley.

Up for sale is my very tidy reliable bike...The wheel bearings ,swing arm linkages, piston rings, bearings, clutch, 1st 3rd and 5th gear and a few other bits replaced.

    Winning sales pitch.

    8k for a 1985 ...

Which makes me wonder. What HD's will be valuable in the future - first gen of new engines? Last of the old engine run?

Appears to be more of the 'did not sell well in the USA but other countries liked them' runs.

He must have sold it elsewhere and have bumped the price up to avoid sales fees for pulling the auction.
