Problem with EFI and Electronic Ignitions are they are so reliable that when they don't work properly no one knows where to start.
I had my 01 T4 VW vanin once and it became a very expensive parts swapping exercise with no clear improvement.
Diesel and Turbo guy sorted it out for $150.00 and told me to sell it as with 300k on it was not viable to keep on road much longer....
