There was another but I'd lost hope in humanity to keep posting. I remember a testride back in the day. Underwhelmed. Bought the TT500 instead.
    2nd hand of course. $1200.

actually these are fetching good money, along with good GB500 singles so wouldn't be surprised if they sell at that.

LOL I thought the SR would be a great little bike. It probably is. And its new owner certainly thinks so: he emailed me to say so.

But yeah, scratched that particular itch. There are a couple of Gilera Saturnos floating around (dreamer money - $8 to 10k) but if you want a big single there is an SRX6 with a start of around a grand. its the later one with the 17 inch wheels and monoshock. Fun bike. I had the earlier twinshock one.

But I have been there and done that.

In some circles these are known to be absolute classics, especially with a exhaust wrap and in slightly less weighty condition. Unfortunately KB keyboard warriors are not part of these circles

Like other folk have said the pricing is about right-still,would rather have the GB500TT,way better bike.I think the rarity of the SR is what holds the price.

That's cause they are circle jerks...

Bikes look tidy, I have no idea of the value as I'm not interested in them in the slightest; too young to have known them and they're not my kind of "Classic".

In some circles they are very desirable bikes - I've thought about building a caf racer from one - but there's no way I'd pay that money for I bike I'm going to cut up ...

Gilera Saturnos are also beautiful .. especially in black and gold .. but not 8-10grand beautiful ..

Nah, can't be. Then the price would be over $14k!

He should have a printout of the dyno runs. If that says 218HP great. Otherwise? Nah!
