I hate sounding like a grumpy old git, but would it be counted as a crime of passion to hacksaw bits off people who do this to a venerable old CB900?

Oh JeezLouise that is dreadful. I think if the photography wasn't so bad it may actually cause blindness.

Looks like a fucking deathtrap! People should only be allowed to bobberise bikes that had fuck all going for them to start with. Like GS400's and such, and maybe small capacity bmw airheads.

To be fair, he probably only started off with the engine (and wheels).

I hope that too. It would be nice to imagine he found a pile of bits rusting away and resurrected them.

All to often a TardMe ad will show a butchered bike and a box of parts torn off it.

The BMW R65 is a gem of a bike, but hack away on UJM's of the 80's

Why not? If ya want that style of bike where is it written that you have to do it with a twin or a single? I quite like the idea of being able to overtake on the open road.

While the standard CB900 was not without faults it would have been much more suited to overtaking than that "creation". As has been discussed previously beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I almost agree with whoever it was suggested that the arseholes who create these abominations should have body parts removed with a hacksaw.

That idiot has got no chance of getting $6250 for that heap of shit. He hasn't even put exhaust wrap on it.

At least there is no exhaust wrap anywhere in sight.

    :
That implies that the owner is somehow obliged to only do with their possession as dictated by you or others.

It is an inanimate object, it is his or hers to do whatever with.

I don't see why people are so offended by the bikes. The prices are often fucking ridiculous, but that's true of many sellers of standard bikes too.

Indeed, but I don't have to like it. It's entirely possible that the guy who desecrated that Honda wouldn't like my bike. That's fine, he can laugh at mine when it's on TradeMe.

Well, I like it - I would ride it - I won't pay the money because I already have two bikes ... and the wife has said NO to a third - even tho' I bought her a new car (and I mean brand new)
