I was looking around Turners car auctions today. There is a Lazer S model in there - rather ratty example but all there (not all attached) - it is featuring in their next classic car auction.

    I like this line............

"Buyer has to satisfy himself before buying."

Isn't that illegal in public places?
I think if you could get that for 600 or close could make a great entry level bucket racer.

Or five hundred but you have to satisfy yourself twice and there's time pressure.

Hope you'll pardon my post? (And in mitigation may I mention that y'all have been talking cars?)

A lot of the photos in this thread just make me think, "Why?".

    This provoked a similar response.

I met a guy in Aukland some years ago who has a genuine matching numbers GT500 Mustang....that he put a big block with a blower that'll replace the air volume of a 747 hanger every thirty seconds obscuring the view through the front window.

Why? It's my car, I'll do whatever the fuck I like.

Quite so. I used to work with the wife of a guy who has a very early Falcon GT - VERY early...
It went through several incarnations incl a blower and bigger motors as you do.

Last time I saw it, it was absolutely original. Original engine and box back in it, right paint and trim...

What goes around can come around.

Note to self: buy all the sidecovers, fenders, guages, seats etc on Trade Me for 70's and 80's bikes for the inevitable de-cafe and why-bobbers in 10 years time
DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

Guy I knew brought back a Shelby Cobra with full size pre politically correct engine. He didn't have a big blower but it wouldn't have made much difference, the car was LH drive and you couldn't see shit anyway. All that power and you couldn't overtake grandma in her Morris Oxford.
