It might have been first registered in 1978 but I think its an earlier model, unless they sold the CB750F1 (and by 1978 CB750F2) alongside the 750K? Because the first DOHC 750 was 1979.

having said that the instrumentation (blue) and the fuel tank (locking flap, recessed cap) are CB750F1-ish but the shape of the tank is consistent with earlier SOHC 750's. Interesting bike.

Not that it will be owned fo anything like its current price but I reckon good buying for someone at around that $12k mark.

I had a read of my Honda CB750 books last night. This is one of the last of them and they did produce it alongside the F1/F2. a number of detail improvements over the K2-K6s.

Now I really want an F2

Very, very few of them came here. Don't think I've ever seen one in the metal.

I passed my test on a 1977 Honda 500. Doesn't look so bad and for a project do up, I'd be game

Dave Milligan (Getrouted) put me onto Cameron freight for shipping frame kits. Worth asking.

That Z1R really will be parts only. I've got a Z1 crank here which had sat in similar circumstances - 3 rods are frozen.
The LC engine is a lottery. Cases and box may be OK - but it's too easy for water to get in a 2 stroke.
The Z650 being plain bearing might just be worth a punt.
