Nah. Think the cunt with the camera was just a total amateur. Good pics really help sell a bike. Especially one you're asking absolute top dollar for.

because the inner pipes have rotted away, CBX1000 had double skinned header pipes to stop them going blue. all of the other pipes have either collapsed the inner pipes which is quite common, or the other 5 headers have been replaced by cheap aftermarket ones.
there's one in town that gets fairly regularly ridden that has a six into six on it. It is very cool indeed.

    I'd far rather have a Z1300.

Nice. Very jealous. Andy was looking for one lately too. I found him a nice one, but he'd *invested* in another toy...

That's Ross Fowler's, senior technician at Cochranes and it lives at Springfield & keeps company in the garage with a CX500 turbo plus some vintage MX bikes

Did you see the one on TM about 6mths ago with all the factory accessories still in their original boxes....it was used as a display bike with everything fitted at a show in 1980-81 in Auckland then they were put back in their boxes and kept with the bike.
Pretty sure it sold for somewhere around $8k

The Italian 6 is quite nice, most likely unreliable and expensive.

Bears a very slight resemblance engine wise to another famous bike....um.....

I recall in my yoof a CBX sitting in the window of Kingsland Honda ( now upcycled as a cafe) for some years.
DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

Nah, just looks like the sales guy did some shitty quick pics on a cellphone. Bike pics are easy, good bike pics aren't, the seller has to ask themselves if it's worth buying decent photo gear or paying a professional in order to increase chances of a sale.

Yeah I wasn't too bad, came with a lot of other bits also....looked like nearly 2/3 of a 2nd bike
If I'd had the spare coin at the time I would've had a crack at getting it myself.
There was another about a year back that sold out of Rangiora that was a absolute steal...US import with bugger all Kms was going to need to be put through compliance etc but it sold cheap too...something like $6k I think it went for

My thoughts were a bit worse than that when I saw the auction.
I know it sounds stupid but if a good one came up for sale and I had enough warning I'd sell the ZX to swing a deal
I got bitten by the bug for them when I was 18....took one for a good ride and just got absolutely drunk on the everything the big zed had to offer.
One of the last models would be a nice, like a A6 or A7 with EFI
