But how many SDRs make it through the warranty period?

I read a thread recently when I had thoughts of a GT that sounded like they are an endless problem......

That straight line one at like 30mph, well that looked like it was asking too much.

Dunno. It's a European motorcycle, in my experience the big KTMs generally match my expectations of reliability for that general class. Mine certainly has, in spite of the fact that it's a first model year machine.

But then my expectations are somewhat informed by the observation that quality is closely linked to quantity, and compared to cars the numbers for bikes are tiny, you're never going to get Toyota Corolla bulletproofness from any motorcycle.

    I didn't see a straight line crash.

    This is the thread. Scary.

Maybe should have stuck with "European motorcycle" .

Been friends with some of those, Suzukis in particular are mostly pretty reliable from what I've seen, but Toyota really are streets ahead.

The only thing that pisses me off about Suzuki is the finish is often not quite there. Fork chrome failure, shit like that.

Didn't read it all but it don't sound good. Interesting that most of it seemed to be the new electronics, mostly don't apply to mine.

Couple of things, though. That level of failure isn't actually that rare, in fact for non-Jap stuff it's common as fuck.

Also: try googling "product name + problem" and see what you get.

Maybe not too many, but then what is acceptable? Under warranty, I had a fork seal, front brake rotors and rear hub needle bearing replaced. Clocked 50,000km the day it turned two and now at 56k.

    Still grinning.

And you left out the most reliable range of them all.
