DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.
Damn you Volty. Now I have to watch that film again....

Here's one from this side of the ditch.. I know that these are kinda sought after these days (hell, I want one myself) but it's got that ghastly "RC211V" body kit on it, 23,000kms on the clock and being sold for AUD$7,500 (around NZD$8,050 currently)
I remember when these were all being sold for two or three grand, original, and tidy...
[edit]And holy shit, I know it's almost half the price but this abomination!?!? https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/mord...98-/1158759510 [/edit]
Save me jeebuzz, that is one fucked up bike. Who looked at that and said. Yeah. Yeah that' finished.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

Surely someone else has already posted this one: https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/mot...05936886f6e3fc
This guy is the dreamer of all dreamers. I sold a '94 model of this bike in race trim a bit over a year ago for 3k and I bought it off the previous owner for 3K
So at what point does a sub 5K bike suddenly become a 13K bike??
I dunno, but I'll have some of what he's on thanks.
Trumps tarriffs against imported steel and aluminium in a indirect way are going to cause HD to go to the wall through EU tarriff retaliation, as 40% of HDs are exported. This will force domestic yanks to desire 400cc japanese domestic market used imports. Simple logic really. These 400cc bikes will become out of reach for the average kiwi, much like foreign demand for our housing. I assume the seller is actually a aussie bank economist.
The same applies to all US-built transport - cars, trucks, bikes ...
Does the USA produce enough of it's own steel to support al it's production?
The best I can find is this - which shows steel consumption exceeded production (meaning the US needs to import) until 2010 - when production increased. But it shows no consumption figures for 2010.
