Sheesh. He'd be somewhat disappointed come the first flag drop. And the first corner for that matter.

    Ever ridden one of these?

I have, and they feel dreadful. My TT500 was a better road bike. Well, more fun.

    How much?.!?
Don't you look at my accountant.

I like it. Not at that money, and the headlight needs to be round though.

Yeah, damn things. He paid up twice for getting it sorted but it'd crap itself again in short time so gave just bump started everywhere

Stored since 2000? I would budget the price of an engine rebuild on that one.
The best way to forget all your troubles is to wear tight underpants.

Haven't seen an old spec ME77 for a while either, but I'm curious about the bush-mechanic's fuse that's been wired into it though

Jesus - even if it was a absolute mint original one that would be top dollar I'd think.

I rode a couple of these back in the day - they were well hyped up. Over rated in my opinion.

Should not have a WOF with no chain guard - imagine the poor bugger on the back of the bike ....

I like the sellers comment about the muffler - forgets to point out the custom muffler has a big fucking dent in it.

The OW will sound raw - 52 deg of advance will do that. Mo Haley told me never to use an OW kit ignition box in an FZR sidecar engine. They tried it in the Agip chair and apparently nearly detonated it to a standstill. The FZR1000 has two peaks in the advance curve - 46 and 48 degrees. The OW uses more advance than that...I always thought it was poor turbulence in the 5 valvers at certain RPM made it necessary to be that agressive. The bigger valves and cams in the OW just made the problem worse.

Did you ride at the Wigram meeting between Nat rounds where Tony McMurdo's 600 on nitro embarrassed the 750's ?
Yeah, the 5 valve head needed lots of advance as the chamber was so flat - a real nightmare I heard.

Rode Wigram Jan 1993 after the GP on my RS125 - smallest bike in the field. I remember John Boote next to me on the grid and a couple of Brittens there also - the taxi ways were so wide, I was getting lost!

I recall many riders with 3 each side thinking, why.....
