The thing is only a couple years old, no corrosion on the motor or anywhere.

    Was too tempting.

Maybe I'll build a shit bucket.

oh yes i found this from Tazz
FFM was started in Waihi by Fred Ferrentino hence FFM stands for Fred Ferrentino Manufacturing. Was later sold to the Motor Imports/Forbes and Davies co-op.
The guy was quite a character i think the helmets were sold on behalf on indent so that was there was up front cost to the bike shop.

    Raises a interesting question.
Clearly advertised as 'as is where is' and no warranty, so from that point the shop does not have to offer one, however I doubt they can contract out of the consumer guarantees act.

A as seller of vehicles they simply can't. The Commerce Commission are cracking down on dealers doing this, especially online. Terms like 'as is' or 'end of life' do not allow you to contract out of the CGA. So yeah they do have to offer a warranty of sorts (not an 'extended warranty' as such but the CGA applies. You ride off and find within a reasonable time frame a wheel bearing needs doing, or the engine needs a rebuild etc they have to honour that. For how long will come down to the MV Tribunal, taking into account things such as age, kms traveled, price paid etc).

Yes, I thought it was pretty good value, considering what it is.

Some of the shiiiiiit people expect $10k for beggars belief.
