I guess everything has it's value.
If demand exceeds supply, it's a no brainer.
Australian dollars. He'll probably get close to that.

A lot of people are happy to hang what seems like an unreasonable price on rarer stuff like that until the market eventually hits that value. Like the $349,000 R34 GTR in NZ.

That's what I'm referring to (although I guess you worked that out after deleting your original reply). Rare sought after vehicles values are on the rise, and while some may remember being able to buy a CR500 for $5k or an R34 for $60k those days are gone. And now they have to stump up today's market value, because they won't get any cheaper in the near future. And owners are quite happy to sit and wait.
Deleted my original reply in error. My apology. Agree with your comments and, as an owner of a CR500R '01 had it since new and, never clicked into gear. Been offered 30k Australian for it but, I'll hang on to it for now. I'll sit and wait too. Appreciate your reply.
No problem, context etc can be an arse online. And damn that's an awesome gem to have tucked away. Plenty would say it should be ridden like intended blah blah blah, but 99.99% have been raced, rolled, bowled and arseholed. Even more reason to make sure ones like yours are kept in pristine condition.
