Well yeah its fucked, but would be getting worth it if it were a first year, but by 78 they were long in the tooth as onda were in car mode ignoring the bike side of the business. This guy has probably seen early ones selling and thought, gee this must be worth heaps.
First question is funny.

I looked at that and my favourite old Honda 4 was that model. Same colour too. I am going to check the rego to see if that was my old one. But notwithstanding there is a lot of stuff there, its all REALLY expensive to do a resto on. I reckon the pile would be good buying at say ten k but not more than that. And that factory 4 into 1 is likely rotted in the collector. it looks hideous with that 4 into 2 on it. Luckily I have decided (and this time I mean it) that there are lots of cool bikes I did own back in the day and I dont need to revisit them and if I do get the horn for an old bike it will be something I havent owned before.
Also - when there is a K0 on tardme for $25k (running, on the road, minter) and a K2 (maybe K4) nice survivor looking bike, good condition rider for $15k who in their right mind would pay $20k for something that needs a complete fucking strip and rebuild. Even selling off what you dont need you're still in the hole for a bunch of money.
Tell you what: the good deals currently are 80's airhead BMW's: $5 to say $8k will buy you something running, reliable which you could confidently ride to Bluff or North Cape in comfort and at a reasonable clip. People are weird.

I had one like that too. Thought it was my ex but mine had dual, drilled disks on the front, I would also know mine from the welding job Graham Berry did on the cases after it broke the chain. (he did a very good job). IIRC I sold it in 1988 for $1300 to pay a tax bill.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

A mate had one as well. Swapped it for a GT380.
If it was a good welding job it was probably the other Graham. He's back in the same building.

Ridiculous. Last one was about 16k. 2 months ago. A mate bought it. Must hit him up for a ride.

At last. A Hardley you wouldn't be embarrassed to be seen on. Would have to wear full gang regalia of course.![]()

Would need to stay within 50km of the gang clubhouse. Also keep the speed down.
Essentially a two wheeled mobility scooter.
