Whether it's optimistically priced or not is hard to say. This is my nieces new bike. Her husband's new bike arrives next month (perhaps, weather permitting).

She wants to remove the TV and park this in its place.

This morning I saw in the distance a Yamaha two stroke on a trailer. It was painted white with red in the old Yamaha racing colours. The bottom side fairings were missing but it looked tidy enough. I couldn't get a good look but it looked too big to be a 250. The owner walked past where I was standing so I asked what size it was, it was a 500cc four. I commented that they are getting expensive these days, he told me it was on its way to be restored, when completed it'll owe him about $35,000.

In case anyone was wondering what they're worth these days.

Fer some reason after watching Chris Northover punting one against a KTM on Welsh gravel roads, an Indian FTR appeared on my "Could be in the shed" list.

Summit totally different for me but it does good on gravel. Nuff said.

Sound like yer niece has her priorities in order.

If it were an inline 4, a TZ500.
A V4 roadbike an RZ500. That would be excessive paying someone for everything.

He had other bikes, he reeled off a short but expensive list including a Ducati 1200s(?)*. His garage sounded like it would be worth a look.

*The question mark is because it wasn't just an s there was another letter IIRC.

Kenneth Steadman raced that one, back in the day. At the one-off Sydenham street circuit round of the NZ Champs (can't recall the year) he was only a whisker away from a win. Found a hay bale right at the end of the race...

I was going to say one of the Steadmans had a TZ, so didn't think that rare.

Could be the new genre of street fighter.

    The Sports Tourer Fighter.

Note the comfortable seat, suitable for all day fighting duties.
