About 10yrs ago there wad a local thing for putting a rotary in a white van, at least a couple wubbaw wubbaw ing around. Fuel consumption must have been horrific. Wonder where they are now? Presumably jaws of life off lampposts.

There was one such locally. A white van with a very distinctive exhaust note.
The rotary fuel consumption wasn't so bad. Nothing capable of cruising at 160kph in those days did it cheap. It ate expensive spark plugs though.
