Friend wants to go with this bike.

What do you think? I think it's not a bad bargain.

    Beats me.
I wouldn't call it a bargain. given the vintage i dont think its particularly good value. Seen 2004 GSXR1000's go for 2k less than that with similar kms for comparison.

In terms of a good purchase, I like what I see in the photos - garage is tidy, so are the grounds, and the photos themselves have been taken with a decent camera. Looks like a DSLR with a fast lens. That means the seller's got some cash and could have afforded to have looked after the bike properly.

Sorry, don't have the experience with this bike to debate price for this age and condition further.

No denying they are a great bike, and it looks real tidy.

Must be eligible for the reduced classic Rego soon?

    So yeah, lotta wonga.
Don't you look at my accountant.

At the upper level of price I reckon. Condition looks good and some nice extras but what is the service history like? Has he owned it from new? It would have to be immaculate for that price and even then you could probably get it cheaper. Its not a bargain.

It's a kid's paddock bike - or a try-hard skinny hipster's steed! Cafe racer? Maybe - if the rider's 50 kgs and about five feet tall.

    Gixxer Sellers These Days...

Thanks for the feedback with regards to that CBR600RR! Friend is still 50/50 since it is such a mint looking bike.

    Anyway, I raise you this:

    http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/moto...1021982689.htm

    $12,000 for an '07 Gixxer 750 with 37,500kms...

    Someone tell him/her that a 2016 GSX-R750 only costs $14,000

So it got cert with pipes like that? Don't fuckn think so.

Hardtails are just dumb for actual street use , why would you? I remember my dear old grandad saying his Indian virtually wrecked his back. Form entirely roughshod over function is super ghey.

Drew you've admitted you only come here to troll when you're in bad headspace (11000 posts later). Don't try play moral high ground.

Shit I went back to have a look at the price. $8800. For a CM450. That's two, maybe three RF900s.
Don't you look at my accountant.
