I kinda thought it was tougher and better. Never restored anything though, so I'm not one of the offending.

See post #4276. It also looks like arse. And you have to run a tap through every fucking single thread before you reassemble the cunting thing. Why would you? No factory ever powder coated parts from new, so why do it for a resto.

Because the guys on Orange County Chopper, Cafe Racer TV etc etc all do it so it must be best.

It does give a very durable layer, finish does not compare to traditional paints. It's a shit to remove if you want to repaint.

Cept if you do get a chip. Looks well nasty compared to a nick on a painted surface.

I can't. How can anyone explain an ugly abomination that didn't sell at all well when new that people ask telephone numbers for now. It further condemns the average BSA buyer.
They are the people at the classic festival that believe they are a small cut above everybody else.

Clutchpurse owners club a mate used to refer to them. They'd come into the shop with branded BMW gear. Pull out their notebook and jot down the prices, then return later in the day to buy selected items.
Don't you look at my accountant.

I saw one at a bike rally as a lad. I'd never seen anything that cool before.

Hand on heart, always thought they were a Triumph till I Googled it just now.
